There is no doubt that plastic pollution is one of our main issues to save the environment. It would be ignorant not to absorb the magnetite of this situation caused by plastic production and consumption. As a maker and designer, I feel responsible. This project is my approach to address this issue on a local scale. Through this document, I will go through my studies to understand the plastic recycling process and its history. In addition, I will try to demonstrate the scale of this issue with some data visualization.

It has been decades that we(Citizens all around the world) separate our plastic trashes for recycle. However, the truth is darker than we expected. Most of the plastic that we even put in the recycle bins is ending up in the land field of the developing countries if not been dropped into the ocean.
